LSG vs RCB: KL Rahul uses bat with SKY written on it, picture goes viral
SKY is the nickname of Mumbai Indians and India batter Suryakumar Yadav
The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) crossed swords at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow for the 43rd game of the IPL 2023. The visitors opted to bat first after RCB skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss. Though LSG did a great job by restricting RCB to a mere 126, the home side faced a blow when skipper KL Rahul injured himself while fielding.
As a result of the injury, he was taken off the field as he was seen limping while walking back to the dressing room. Thus, he did not come out to bat when LSG started off with the chase. Though he did not open the innings, the cameraman showed KL's bat and pads placed on the chair in the dugout. When shown closely, it was seen that Rahul's bat had 'SKY' written on it.
Notably, India and Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav is fondly known as SKY in the team and by his followers, and fans guessed that the LSG skipper was using Suryakumar's bat.
