Australia clinched their sixth World Cup title by defeating the previously unbeaten Indian team in the summit clash of the ODI World Cup 2023. However, before the celebration began for the Aussies, a moment involving all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and spinner Adam Zampa had been going viral all over social media.
In the viral clip, both Stoinis and Zampa were seen giving a cold shoulder to the BCCI officials when they came onto the stage to collect their winner’s medals. In the clip, the Australian stars were seen walking right across the officials without shaking their hands.

The viral moment has garnered major traction across social media, with many Indian fans coming forward to lambast both players’ actions. The Aussies put in a brilliant performance in the summit clash of the ODI World Cup 2023, and clinched yet another title.
Travis Head’s masterclass propelled Australia to World Cup title
The ODI World Cup final began with the Indian team coming in to bat first and the Men in Blue immediately found themselves in trouble as they lost a couple of early wickets. However, the resilient knocks of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul kept the hopes alive for the hosts. In the first innings, India posted a total of 240 runs in the first innings.
As for Australia, Mitchell Starc was the highest wicket taker with three wickets to his name in the first innings. Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins took two wickets each with Glenn Maxwell and Adam Zampa taking one wicket each. Aiming to chase down the target of 241 runs in the second innings, Australia found themselves in trouble as well after they lost some early wickets.
However, the knocks of Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne propelled the side to a brilliant win. Head scored 137 runs in 120 deliveries, with Labuschagne amassing 58* runs in 110 deliveries as Australia defeated India by six wickets to clinch their sixth World Cup title.
