Marsh One-Day Cup final: Ashton Turner hides his daughter during victory photoshoot

Following an impressive win in the finals of the Marsh One-Day Cup, Western Australia (WA) skipper Ashton Turner engaged in a hilarious segment with his daughter during the victory photoshoot. WA clinched back-to-back titles after thumping South Australia by a 181-run margin at the Western Australia Cricket Association Ground in Perth.

During the post-match presentation, Turner’s daughter made a comical appearance as she began admiring her reflection in the trophy. While this was not all, Turner was seen hilariously nudging his daughter under a table for a moment during the celebrations.

The video garnered massive attention from fans soon after the incident took place. Notably, Western Australia claimed their 16th title following the big win against Jake Lehmann and Co.

Ashton Agar's five-wicket haul destroys South Australia

South Australia were handed a blow prior to the start of the contest in the form Jake Carder’s injury during the warm-up. The side decided to replace the injured player with Kelvin Smith in the playing XI ahead of the crucial tie. 

On the other hand, Josh Inglis and Cameron Bancroft were bang on point as they carved out impressive knocks in the first innings. Inglis notched up 138 runs off 110 balls whereas Bancroft amassed 90 runs off 112 balls to help steer the side to attain a mammoth 387 in 50 overs.

Kelvin Smith and Henry Hunt started off well for South Australia as the duo got 84 runs before the former was sent packing. Kelvin scored 44 runs before getting dismissed and Henry followed him a few overs later at a score of 50. 

Ashton Agar took the onus of denting the middle order as he got five vital scalps to his name. On the other hand, skipper Turner and Andrew Tye picked up two wickets each to dismiss the rival side for 206 runs. With this, the side won by 181 runs and clinched their second title in a row.
