Ahead of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) versus Mumbai Indians (MI) clash of the IPL 2024 at the Eden Gardens on Saturday, May 11, Rohit Sharma engaged in a heart-to-heart conversation with close friend and KKR assistant coach Abhishek Nayar during practice. Though there was a lot of background noise, fans didn't take too long to figure out what exactly was spoken between the former MI captain and KKR's assistant coach.
In the video, Rohit and Nayar could be heard discussing 'things changing'. At the end of the video, the current India skipper also mentioned that "it's his last". Though the context of the conversation isn't known, fans reckoned that the two could've talked about the current situation at Mumbai Indians, especially Hardik Pandya's appointment as the captain of the five-time IPL-winning franchise.

"Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai...Woh unke upar hai...Jo bhi hai woh mera ghar hai bhai, woh temple jo hai na maine banwaya hain(Everything is changing one by one... It's on them... Whatever, but it's my home brother, it's the temple that I constructed)," Rohit could be heard saying in the video.
The last line that could be heard in the video was: "Bhai mera kya mera to ye last hai (brother, this is my last anyway)".

A few days ago, a report emerged suggesting that several senior players in the Mumbai camp aren't pleased with Hardik Pandya's captaincy techniques. In fact, the senior stars also reportedly said that the Baroda all-rounder's style of captaincy doesn't create the required 'buzz' in the MI dressing room.

Hardik was roped in by Mumbai from the Gujarat Titans in what was a record-smashing trade. MI management dropped a bombshell when they assigned Hardik to the role of captaincy, replacing the immensely successful Rohit. When this move was announced, the franchise and its owners received a lot of flak on social media.
The Indian all-rounder has been booed by the fans almost wherever the Mumbai-based franchise has played in IPL 2024. To make matters worse, MI have had a forgettable campaign, having won only four out of their 12 games and became the first team to get eliminated.
