The IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024 witnessed one of its most anticipated clashes as Mumbai Indians took on Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium in the 29th game of the tournament on Sunday, April 14. The clash saw many performances that stood out, with CKS coming out on top in IPL’s El Classico.
Many also came to Mumbai to witness veteran CSK batter MS Dhoni in action, and the 42-year-old did not disappoint. Coming in to bat in the final over of the first innings, Dhoni hit Hardik Pandya for three consecutive sixes and helped CSK cross the 200-run mark.
After the game, ace Mumbai Indians pacer Jasprit Bumrah was spotted in the CSK dressing room as he clicked a picture with his former captain, Dhoni. Sharing the picture on his Instagram account, he captioned it: “Met Mahi bhai after so long, felt good to catch up!"

Mumbai Indians handed fourth defeat of IPL 2024
Speaking of the clash, after posting 206 runs in the first innings, Chennai Super Kings defended the target impeccably. Despite the hosts getting off to a brilliant start with Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan’s attack, Matheesha Pathirana’s spell helped the visitors topple MI at their home ground.
In the end, Rohit was left standing alone as the entire MI batting order departed and failed to show much support. The former skipper scored his second IPL century, but that too was not enough to propel his side to a win. In the end, Chennai Super Kings won the game by 20 runs and handed MI their fourth defeat of the season.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings sit comfortably in third place with eight points in six matches, winning their fourth game of the season.
