'Michael Jordan...' - Marcus Stoinis names three athletes he wished played cricket
Stoinis talked about a variety of topics in the rapid fire interview
Ace Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is currently competing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, where he represents the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants.
Recently, the 33-year-old took part in a rapid-fire interview where he talked about a variety of topics. During the same interview, Stoinis was asked about the three sports personalities that he wished played cricket but did not.
The rapid-fire interview was posted by the IPL on their Twitter handle; answering the questions, Stoinis named Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and Muhammad Ali as the three players. Apart from that, he answered a plethora of questions, some of which included things like ‘his three favourite food items,’ ‘three people on his speed dial,’ ‘three things that annoy him in cricket,’ and many more.
Stoinis unable to impress at the IPL 2023 so far
Representing Lucknow Super Giants, Marcus Stoinis has not had the best of starts in the IPL 2023. The KL Rahul-led Lucknow have played two games so far, where they won one and lost the other game.
Stoinis featured in both games as he came in to bat in the middle order. In the two games that his side has played against Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings, Stoinis has amassed just 33 runs to his name. If Lucknow are to improve their performance as compared to the previous edition of the IPL, the Australian all-rounder’s performance is going to play a vital role.
Lucknow Super Giants will next be going up against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 10th match of the tournament on Friday, April 7.
Hyderabad will be coming into the match on the back of a hefty loss to the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals. With several key players joining the team camp, Hyderabad will be keen on registering their first win of the season when they take on Lucknow.
