Just a day after parting ways with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohammad Hafeez has ignited a quarrel by threatening to expose what he terms as 'amateur non-cricketing facts' behind the team's dismal performances.

Hafeez was removed from his role as Director of Pakistan Cricket on February 15. He has unleashed a torrent of accusations, promising to shed light on the circumstances surrounding Pakistan's recent struggles on the field.

Hafeez's tenure as Director of cricket began after Pakistan's disappointing campaign in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. Tasked with restructuring the team's fortunes, Hafeez's reign was harmed by a string of disappointing results, leading to his abrupt dismissal.

Hafeez took to his official social media account to vent his frustrations and issue a warning to his former employers.

He tweeted, "I always Prioritise and represented Pakistan with dignity and Pride. I accepted the new role as a Director pcb with great passion to make positive reforms but Unfortunately my designated tenure which was offered by @TheRealPCB for 4 years was cut short for 2 mnths on the account of New chairmanship. Best wishes for Pakistan cricket future. As always, I foremost take responsibility and put myself accountable for all my executions in my given time and will accordingly reveal all the cricketing and other amateur non cricketing facts which ensue bad performances. Stay tuned."

Hafeez minced no words in expressing his dissatisfaction with the PCB. He declared his intention to disclose the factors, both cricketing and otherwise, that he believes contributed to Pakistan's poor performances during his tenure. Hafeez accepted the role of his love for Pakistan cricket. However, he claimed that his tenure, initially slated for four years, was abruptly curtailed to a mere two months due to changes in PCB leadership.

Furthermore, Hafeez held himself accountable for his decisions during his tenure. By involving himself in the scrutiny, he aims to highlight the systemic issues troubling Pakistan cricket while also hinting at potential mismanagement within the PCB.
