Pakistan are currently engaged in some intense one-day cricket battles in the domestic circuit. Among various teams, the star skipper of the national team Babar Azam has been representing Stallions in the ongoing Champions One-Day Cup. However, unlike in the international arena, he has been playing under the leadership of another star Pakistani batter, Mohammad Haris.

Though, Azam has been in sublime touch with the bat in the tournament as he has scored over 100 runs so far but failed to get his team over the line in the second game against the Mohammad Rizwan-led Markhors. The hero of the first game against Lions scored a run-a-ball 45 in a bid to keep his side in the hunt on Sunday, September 15. Notably, Markhors had set a stiff 232-run target for Stallions after Rizwan chose to bat first in Faisalabad. But Haris' side could only manage to post 105 runs on the board.

However, things seemed off the grid when during the post-match interview, the losing captain came up with a bizarre anomaly for his side losing the game by an emphatic 126-run margin. Post the defeat, Mohammad Haris bamboozled all the fans and cricket experts alike by saying that in the first game, they batted first while in the second they batted second. Despite losing the toss, he was quite happy to take the field first as it helped his motive of checking the strength of the team in both games. Hence, he was happy to have lost the second game of the domestic tournament. As a result, this bizarre happiness of the skipper broke the internet.

"Koi galti nahi hui. Hum jo chah rahe the..team ki strength check kar rahe the. Kyuki pehele din humne jab toss jeeta toh humne pehle batting kari, toh usme hum apni strength check kar rahe the. Aaj humne chaha ki hum chase karte hai taki apni strength ka pata chal jaye tournament see pehle toh wahi hua aur mujhe khushi hui ki hum haar gaye," said Haris in the post match presentation.

Haris started tournament with fifty but failed in second game

The young 23-year-old skipper had a good start to his tournament while leading the likes of Babar Azam and Pakistan Test Captain, Shan Masood. He played a vital 55-run knock in the first match but failed to carry on the momentum in the second game against Markhors. Haris departed after scoring just three runs off seven deliveries as he got clean bowled by Zahif Mahmood.
