Nothing to see here. Just #MSDhoni living his best semi retired life and a very lucky young cricketer who got a lift on his #YAMAHA RD350. 🏍️ #Jharkhand #Dhoni #msd #mahi #ranchi pic.twitter.com/EipYkBptsU

Notably, Dhoni was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 after his side – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lifted their record-equaling fifth title after a win in the summit clash against Gujarat Titans. Since the conclusion of the lucrative T20 league, Dhoni has been spending quality time with his family and was most recently seen in the USA playing a game of golf with former US President Donald Trump.
In addition to this, Dhoni was also spotted in the stands during the high-octane 2023 US Open quarter-final fixture between Carlos Alcarez and Alexander Zverev. It is fair to say that the 42-year-old is relishing his semi-retired life, cherishing moments off the cricketing field.
Currently in Ranchi, Dhoni is slowly getting back in shape and has been training with the cricketers at the JSCA International Stadium. Notably, Dhoni underwent surgery on his knee, which troubled him throughout IPL 2023, at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai after conclusion of the event.
Dhoni hinted on his potential return and acknowledged that the harder route would be to come back and play another IPL in 2024 amid speculations of his retirement.
“I needed to take some time off in the dugout. I realized I need to enjoy this. I think they love me for what I am, they love that I am so grounded, I don't try to portray something I'm not. Just keep it simple,” Dhoni said during the post-match presentation.
