After a forgettable five-match Test tour of Australia, the Men in Blue will look to bounce back in the white-ball format when they play five T20Is and three ODIs against England at home. The Asian giants will want to get some preparation ahead of the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025, which begins on February 19.
Former India batter Navjot Singh Sidhu suggested the names of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, and Arshdeep Singh as the four fast bowlers who should be picked in the squad for the eight-team tournament.
"Fast bowler s hunt in pairs or packs - a lone wolf is nothing but a pack effective…. With @mdsirajofficial bowling his heart out @MdShami11 fit and a left hand fast bowler like @arshdeepsinghh would be great asset - both him and Bumrah were picking up a wicket after 13 delivery each when we won the 24 World Cup … these 4 could be a lethal match winning combination…. Relentless pressure !!!!" Sidhu wrote on his official 'X' handle.

Bumrah has been in sensational form in the last couple of years and recently won the Player of the Series award in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He is set to spearhead the bowling attack. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj bowled tirelessly across the five matches against the Aussies and produced some brilliant spells.
Mohammed Shami, on the other hand, has made his return to the Indian team for the five-match T20I series against England. He hasn't played for the national team since the finals of the ODI World Cup in 2023. Shami has proved his fitness by playing domestic matches for Bengal.
Meanwhile, Arshdeep Singh has been a consistent performer for India in the shortest format. He has played 60 T20Is and picked up 95 wickets so far. However, the Punjab seamer has only accounted for seven wickets in eight games. Arshdeep, being a left-arm seamer, can add a different dimension to the bowling attack.
