Pakistan have yet again failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup and the supporters are absolutely gutted with many former cricketers suggesting Babar Azam to step down as the leader. Playing in similar conditions, the Men in Green were expected to play well and bring back the trophy but in reality, the team failed to step up in crucial matches and finished fifth on the points table.

Meanwhile, following their exit from the ODI World Cup, a lot of former cricketers have criticised the national team and Abdul Razzaq is the latest one to join the race. However, while talking about the same, the former cricketer made derogatory statements regarding famous Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, which made the netizens lose their calm.

In a viral video, Razzaq was spotted questioning the motives of the Pakistan team and named the actress while giving an example. Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi were present alongside him and both of them eventually laughed and clapped, which further infuriated the Indians.

Meanwhile, be it batting or bowling, Pakistan’s performance was below par in the World Cup. A lot was expected from Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf but neither of the cricketers could deliver in the marquee tournament.

Babar Azam too failed to step up with the bat and certain decisions taken by him were questionable. There were multiple allegations of him backing his favourite players and hence, many reports claim that the 29-year-old will be sacked as Pakistan skipper in the coming days.

Former cricketer Ramiz Raja however backed Babar Azam and believes that the bowlers have let Pakistan down in the tournament. He recently called out the PCB officials as well and questioned their intention and policy behind running the system.

On the other hand, 1983 World Cup winner Kapil Dev has backed Babar Azam as well and asked the Pakistan Cricket Board to make a sensible call in the future. Meanwhile, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan remain favourites to replace Babar.
