In the third and final ODI of the series on September 27, 2023, at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot. Australia emerged victorious, defeating India by 66 runs to clinch the series. During the match, the heat seemed to affect the star Australian batter, Steve Smith, as he required a chair and an ice pack to cool down after the 28th over of the innings.

As a result, a video of Smith sitting on a chair with an ice pack went viral on social media. While the Australian was trying to relax in the hot and humid conditions, Virat Kohli came in and started showcasing some dance moves.

However, Smith couldn't continue his innings for long as he was dismissed shortly after by Mohammed Siraj, who trapped him in front of the stumps. During his innings, Smith also completed five thousand runs in ODIs. He departed for a well-made 74 off 61 balls, including eight fours and a six. After the match, Smith posted a story on his Instagram appreciating Virat Kohli's dance moves.

Steve Smith then joined Marsh, and together they formed an impressive partnership, adding 137 runs for the second wicket. India's Jasprit Bumrah stood out as the top bowler, taking three wickets after a poor start with the ball.

However, after losing their first wicket at 74, both Rohit and Virat Kohli were dismissed by Glenn Maxwell after a good partnership, pushing India to the back foot. Rohit was dismissed for 81, while Kohli got out soon after reaching his half-century. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul tried to accelerate the scoring in the middle, but they were also dismissed, leading to India's eventual loss in the match.
