The yorker king, however, had a picture-perfect answer as he quipped that he is unstoppable. For the unversed, the Ahmedabad-born grabbed Player of the Series in the T20 World Cup 2024, becoming the first bowler to do so in T20I events.

Jasprit Bumrah plucked 15 wickets in the tournament at a stupendous average of 8.26. His economy rate of 4.17 in the global event is the best for any bowler with over 100 balls in an edition of the T20 World Cup. Moreover, he became the only third bowler after Glenn McGrath and Mitchell Starc to be named as Player of the Series across all ICC events.
