During the triumphant campaign, India faced the Netherlands at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Batting first, the Dutch side were bowled out for 189 as Zaheer Khan picked up a three-for.

In reply, India were in a spot of bother at 99/4 but Yuvraj Singh, who had bagged a couple of wickets in the first innings, scored an unbeaten 51 off 73 balls to take his team home. Dhoni also remained not out on 19 as India won by five wickets with 13.3 overs to spare.
