The Indian team has been playing some excellent cricket in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. They have won 10 matches on the trot and have booked their tickets to the final at the colossal Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19.

After winning their semi-final clash at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, November 15, against New Zealand by 70 runs, the 'Men in Blue' reached Ahmedabad, where they were given a hero's welcome by the ITC Narmada Hotel.

The players were given a guard of honour by the hotel staff as they made their way through the lobby. Indian flags were being waved and it brought smiles on the faces of the Indian players. The nation is dreaming once again as Rohit Sharma's men are on the cusp of making history.

Meanwhile, India will take on Australia in the finals of the marquee event in front of more than one lakh people at the Narendra Modi Stadium on November 19. The 'Men in Yellow' made it to the summit clash after beating South Africa in the second semi-final on Thursday by three wickets at the iconic Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The India versus Australia showdown will be a repeat of the 2003 World Cup final. Ricky Ponting's men had annihilated Sourav Ganguly and Co. at Johannesburg. A couple of decades later, Indian fans will have the chance to get one over the mighty Aussies. The tourists are hunting a record-extending sixth ODI World Cup title. India, on the other hand, have a chance to become only the second side after Australia to win the coveted title for the third time.

India and Australia locked horns earlier in the tournament in the round-robin phase in Chennai. The home side defeated Australia by six wickets as they chased down a 200-run target in the 42nd over on the back of half-centuries from KL Rahul and Virat Kohli.
