India cricketer and broadcaster Dinesh Karthik made an error while commenting during the first Test between India and Australia in Nagpur. While talking about his debut Test match, Karthik recalled that he hit two boundaries off Michael Kasprowicz's bowling, however, a Twitter user corrected him that it was Jason Gillespie he smashed two boundaries against.
Karthik could score only 10 runs in that game before Kasprowicz got the better of him. In the second innings, the now 37-year-old could score only four but that did not bother India much the Rahul Dravid-led side defeated Australia by 13 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
“No @DineshKarthik , both of your boundaries in your first ever inning came against Gillespie and not Kasprowicz, as you reminisced in the comm box. Very interestingly, the man in the commentary box then was @sanjaymanjrekar,” the Twitter user pointed out.
“Oh no , it was Gillespie . That's right,” Karthik responded.
