Pacer Shaheen Afridi is currently facing challenges during the ongoing Test in Rawalpindi between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The seamer's wife Ansha Afridi welcomed their baby boy named Aliyar Shaheen Afridi on Saturday. The fans have congratulated the couple. 

The youngster tied the knot on February 3, 2023, to Shahid Afridi's daughter Ansha Afridi in a private nikah ceremony. There were reports in July that the couple is expecting their first baby. Resulting in Shahid Afridi becoming the grandfather for the first time. 

Earlier Pakistan Test coach Jason Gillespie claimed, "Shaheen can miss Bangaladesh Test matches due to childbirth. We can give him [some] rest if he wants to stay with his wife till then."

Pakistani journalist Ahtasham Riyaz tweeted about Shaheen Afridi's newborn, "Many Many congratulations to Shaheen Shah Afridi and Ansha Afridi for getting blessed with a baby boy "Aliyar Shaheen Afridi". Wishing for loads of happiness for the family."

Shaheen Afridi struggles to get wicket in ongoing Test against Bangladesh

The left-arm speedster has not been lucky enough to scalp wickets in the ongoing Test against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. Having sent down 25 overs, Afridi has given 67 runs with zero wickets in his name.

Bangladesh skipper Nazmul Hossain Shanto won the toss on day 1 and sent Pakistan to bat first. The hosts fell quickly with 16 runs and three wickets, including Babar Azam falling for a duck. On the other hand, Mohammed Rizwan and Saud Shakeel's centuries helped Pakistan put up a score of 448/6. 

While Pakistan bowlers found breakthroughs in holes, failing to do the same continuously as Bangladesh continued to march to take a lead on Day 2.
