Visuals also suggest that Pakistan skipper Babar Azam was confused as well, and so were the commentators. Former Kiwi cricketer Grant Elliot also mentioned that he has never seen something like this ever on a cricket field. However, the Tom Latham-led side didn’t complain much as the match resumed after a few minutes.

Notably, after winning the first ODI, the Pakistan skipper chose to field first after winning the toss at Rawalpindi. The home team gave the first blow to the Kiwis in the sixth over of the match as Haris Rauf dismissed Will Young for 19 runs. Chad Bowes meanwhile looked rock-solid as the 30-year-old went on to score 51 runs off 51 deliveries. Ace pacer Haris Rauf found the better of him in the 19th over as skipper Latham came out to bat after that.
