India are currently playing the second ODI of a three-match series against Australia. In the first innings, Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed early, but Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer then formed a remarkable partnership of 200 runs. Both batters scored incredible centuries, with Gill making 104 and Iyer scoring 105.

During their innings, the Indian batters were able to hit boundaries easily due to the short dimensions of the Holker Stadium in Indore. The longest boundary was 69 meters straight, while the square boundaries were just 60 meters, allowing the batters to take full advantage of it.

A fan expressed his thoughts on social media, hoping that the boundary sizes for the World Cup would be appropriate for professional cricket and not as small as they were in today's match.

Earlier in the match, the Australian team won the toss and opted to field first at the Holker Stadium. The pitch appeared quite supportive for batting, and the dimensions of the short boundaries added to the batting-friendly allure.

India's batting lineup took full advantage of these conditions, with only Ruturaj Gaikwad missing out on the opportunity. Iyer notched up a remarkable century; his innings included 11 boundaries and three huge sixes. Gill, too, made a brilliant century, striking six boundaries and four sixes. Captain KL Rahul showcased his prowess, accumulating 52 runs off 38 balls, featuring three fours and three sixes. Ishan Kishan also played a quick cameo, scoring 31 runs from just 18 balls with two sixes and two fours.

Suryakumar Yadav was the man who provided the finishing touch for India, initially taking his time to settle but then unleashing an unstoppable onslaught. He blasted his way to a quick 72 off a mere 37 balls with six boundaries and six huge sixes. India concluded their innings at an imposing total of 399 runs, thereby setting Australia a daunting target of 400 to keep their hopes alive in the three-match ODI series.

Among the Australian bowlers, Green picked two wickets. However, he conceded a substantial 103 runs in his allotted ten overs. Despite the favourable batting conditions, the impending chase promises to be a formidable task for the Australian batters.
