India had a poor start when they entered to bat against South Africa in their third T20 World Cup 2022 clash at the Perth Stadium on Sunday evening (October 30). India are leading the Super 12 Group 2 table with four points from the opening two matches and another win will solidify their chances to qualify for the Semi-final round.

But India, while batting first, lost their opening five wickets on just 49 runs, which silenced the Indian fans in the stadium. But it also shocked Pakistan fans who are tipping India to win the match at any cost. Pakistan have managed to win just one game from their three matches so far and are placed at fifth position with just two points.

Pakistan need India to win so they can compete for a second position in the table. But Indian batters struggled against the South African pace attack which led the former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar to post a video on Twitter. In his video, he appealed Indian team to not kick Pakistan out of the tournament. “Bhaiyo bahut jaldi main hain?" [In some rsh, brothers?] Shoib wrote on his Twitter.

Maine kaha thaa video mei India needs to win for Pakistan. Pakistan ko marwana nahi haiYeh toh Pakistan ko marwa rahe hai. 4 out karwa diye pata nahi aage kya hota hai," [I had said that India needs to win for Pakistan. But India are putting Pakistan under threat. Four players have already been dismissed, let's see how it goes] Akhtar said in the short video.

After losing five wickets early, in-form batter Suryakumar Yadav and veteran wicketkeeper batter Dinesh Karthik formed a crucial 52-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Suryakumar, who smashed an unbeaten fifty and won the player of the match award against Netherlands in the last game, continued his red-hot form with another big and impactful fifty.

Suryakumar smashed 68 runs off 40 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes before getting caught out on Wayne Parnell's delivery in the 19th over. Parnell grabbed two wickets in the 19th over and Anrich Nortje conceded only six runs in the 20th over to restrict India to just 133/9.
