Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah and his wife, Sanjana Ganesan, celebrated their son Angad's first birth anniversary on September 4. The star India pacer married television presenter Sanjana in Mach 2021 in Goa.

Speaking of Bumrah, the right-arm pacer was rested after the T20 World Cup 2024 in June and has not featured in the team since then. He was expected to come back during the Test series against Bangladesh in the second half of September. But reports suggest that the 30-year-old will get an extended sabbatical to stay fit for the Australia tour in December. Meanwhile, Bumrah is enjoying some family time, and on the eve of his son’s birthday, Sanjana shared a family picture.

I don’t want anyone to take over me: Bumrah

The Ahmedabad pacer was instrumental in the India’s T20 World Cup victory.  He picked 15 wickets in eight games at an average of 8.26 and had an enviable economy rate of 4.17. He was adjudged Player of the Series and he became the first bowler to clinch the award in the history of ICC T20I events.

Though the bowler was rested for the white-ball tour to Sri Lanka in July, he will miss the upcoming Duleep Trophy too. Amidst all this, Bumrah has been seen at different events. Recently, one of his statements concerning the question over the toughest batter he has bowled to grabbed the spotlight.

"Look I want to give a good answer, but the real factor is that I don’t want anyone to take over me in my head. I respect everyone but, in my head, I tell myself that if I do my job well, there’s nobody in the world who can stop me," said Bumrah.
