Queensland police have begin an investigation after a video of a shirtless Michael Clarke has gone viral on social media, in which he can be seen having an argument with his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough and Today Show host Karl Stefanovic.

Former Australia skipper Clarke has been accused of cheating by his girlfriend Jade, supposedly with his former girlfriend and fashion designer Pip Edwards.

Angry exchange between Michael Clarke and his girlfriend caught on video

The ugly incident occurred on January 10 in Noosa where Clarke and Stefanovic were holidaying with partners Jade and Jasmine Yarbrough.

Footage obtained shows the pair involved in a raging argument that was reportedly about Clarke's ex-girlfriend and fashion designer Edwards.

In the video Jade can be heard saying: "I'm wrong?  I'm f***ing wrong! You're a f***ing liar. I can see everything. You called her".

To which Clarke responded: "Baby you're wrong, you're wrong. Baby, baby, Belly was at the house. I swear on my life, I swear at my life … That's not true, it's not true".

Ignoring Clarke, Jade continues: "You're f****ing lying to me. You are a piece of s***. I just spoke to her. What is wrong with you?"

Clarke then refuted her accusations again, saying: "It's not true, it's not true".

Stefanovic's wife Jasmine then intervened, pulling her sister away from the situation.

Jasmine told Clarke: "Get away with Karl, go with Karl".

Clarke then turns to TV host Stefanovic and proclaims: "Karlos, I can tell you now c**t, don't you f***ing walk away. She can, she can punch me, but you, you c**t".

This triggers Jade once more as she furiously defends Stefanovic and then slaps Clarke in the face.

Jade says: "You piece of s***, don't you f***ing speak to him".

After being struck, Clarke replies: "Go, hit me hit me … do it again, you're wrong, you're f***ing wrong".

In a statement to The Daily Telegraph, Clarke said he “accepts full responsibility” for the incident and is "shattered” by his actions.

“I’m absolutely gutted I’ve put people I hold in the highest regard in this position,” he told the publication. “My actions in the lead-up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable. “I am shattered that because of my actions I’ve drawn women of class and integrity, and my mates, into this situation.”

The Queensland police is yet to issue any official statement regarding the matter.
