In the match against Quetta Gladiators at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, one of the fans in attendance breached the security and ran straight towards Babar Azam, who was walking towards the long-on region. Meanwhile, the security immediately rushed in to protect the cricketer but Babar calmed them down and took a selfie with the fan before asking him to leave. The video of the same went viral on social media as many fans pointed out his generosity in between a high-voltage match.
Meanwhile, the former Pakistan skipper once again hit a half-century in the ongoing PSL as his 53 runs off 30 deliveries helped Peshawar Zalmi post 196 runs in the first innings. Babar, with his half-century, strengthened his position as the league’s top run-scorer, which should give him a lot of confidence ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup. On the other hand, Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Rovman Powell scored 33 and 28 runs respectively as it stabilised the middle order, which looked shaky at point.
Towards the fag end of the first innings, West Indies international Akeal Hosein picked up a stunning hat-trick as he became the sixth player in PSL history to achieve this feat. He picked up the wickets of Aamer Jamal, Mehran Mumtaz and Luke Wood to complete his hat-trick.

Peshawar defeated Gladiators by 76 runs
The Gladiators failed to put up a show in the second innings. Their openers Jason Roy and Saud Shakeel were in a good rhythm and gave a good start to the team but wickets fell like a house of cards at one point as Gladiators never looked settled. Every Peshawar bowler looked to be in form at Rawalpindi as Luke Wood, Saim Ayub, Khurram Shahzad and Mehran Mumtaz picked up two wickets each, while Naveen-ul-Haq and Aamer Jamal picked up one each.
Courtesy of their brilliant bowling, Quetta were bundled out for 120 runs. The Babar Azam-led side registered a massive victory, which helped them confirm their berth in the playoffs. Gladiators meanwhile remain fourth on the table.
