Amid a deepening captaincy row between the Andhra Cricket Association and former state skipper Hanuma Vihari, in the latest development, the ace India off-spin wizard Ravichandran Ashwin has invited his former Indian teammate to sit with him to have a candid conversation on his social media channel.

The duo share a strong bond and friendship as they have played Team India together on many occasions. As a topping on the ice, who can forget their memorable 62-run partnership during the Third Test against Australia in the coveted Border Gavaskar Trophy back in 2020 in Sydney, which helped the side salvage a draw. Hence, taking to his official handle, Ashwin requested Hanuma Vihari to make a special appearance on his renowned YouTube channel's video series- Kutty Stories.

To this, Hanuma Vihari duly obliged and accepted the invitation and will most likely feature soon with Ashwin. Besides, some fans also seem super excited and also demanded 'Ash anna' to expose the culprits behind Vihari getting sacked from Andhra Pradesh's captaincy.

"Kutty stories with ash “Vihari Garu“ Meeru ready unnara???? @hanumavihari," Ashwin wrote on his 'X' handle.

Hanuma Vihari reveals political agenda behind his sacking as Andhra Captain

Meanwhile, after Andhra Pradesh failed to make it to the semifinals of the Ranji Trophy 2024, the veteran batter Hanuma Vihari revealed that he was recently sacked from Captaincy due to political interference. Citing the reason being that Vihari had scolded a 17th member of the Andhra squad. In return, the ACA decided to sack him after the latter's father who holds good political ground in the state instructed the association to remove him from the leadership role.

Thereafter, the concerned player turned out to be KN Prudhvi Raj, who darted back at Hanuma Vihari via his Instagram story, alleging him of using foul language while in the field and trying to defend himself on the grounds of 'self-respect'. In fact, in an earlier post, Raj had called him a "so-called champion" which now doesn't exist in the public domain. Following his allegations, Hanuma Vihari made yet another move by presenting a notice duly signed by all the members of the Andhra Pradesh who support the case of captaincy row and seemingly want the veteran reinstated as the Andhra Captain. Now only time will reveal what more will unfold from the side of ACA in this matter.
