Ravichandran Ashwin's daughter's reaction to father's brisk cameo takes internet by storm

While it turned out to be a triumphant outing for Rajasthan Royals' (RR) all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin, his daughter went through a rollercoaster of emotions during the veteran Indian all-rounder's brisk cameo with the bat against defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT). Ashwin's daughter was absolutely heartbroken after her father departed in the penultimate over of the chase.

Veteran Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin came out to bat for the Rajasthan-based franchise in the penultimate over of the match after the dismissal of Dhruv Jurel. The match was heading towards an exciting final over, but Ashwin tilted the game in his side's favour after smashing a boundary and a six off the first two deliveries he faced in the match.

Ashwin's daughter, who was watching the match on television, was thrilled after her father smashed Mohammed Shami for a maximum over the mid-wicket fence, blowing kisses for the veteran cricketer. But, when the Rajasthan Royals all-rounder was dismissed off the very next delivery, his daughter was visibly heartbroken and was unable to hold back her tears.

Ashwin's three-ball stay at the crease gave the visitors firm control of the proceedings as they needed just seven runs to win in the final over of the match. Titans' skipper Hardik Pandya tossed the ball to IPL debutant Noor Ahmad, who failed to contain Shimron Hetmyer, who finished off the game after hitting a brilliant six off the second delivery of the final over.

The veteran Indian all-rounder, who has six wickets to his name in the 16th edition of the tournament, went wicketless in the game against the reigning champions, a first for him in this year's competition. He was largely ineffective with the ball and was taken for 37 runs in his four overs.
