A jam-packed crowd at the Chinnaswamy were left speechless after Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Faf du Plessis smashed LSG spinner Ravi Bishnoi out of the stadium for a 115-metre six. The RCB skipper took down the young leggie in the 15th over of the first innings, smashing Bishnoi for consecutive sixes. Batting from the other end, Glenn Maxwell was left in awe of his skipper's sensational strike.

The RCB skipper, who struggled with timing earlier in the innings, put his foot on the accelerator after the departure of his opening partner Virat Kohli. The arrival of explosive Aussie all-rounder Glenn Maxwell seemed to have rubbed on his skipper, and Faf du Plessis went berserk against Ravi Bishnoi in the 15th over of the match.

Faf, who scored just over a run a ball, smashed Bishnoi for consecutive sixes, the second being a 115-metre monster. Maxwell ended the over on a high after cashing in on a poor delivery from the young leggie, dispatched beyond the fence. du Plessis who found his groove in the previous over smashed English speedster Mark Wood for a maximum to bring up his second half-century of IPL 2023.

The former Proteas skipper was on a roll in the latter stages of the innings as he dispatched Jaydev Unadkat for consecutive sixes and a boundary in the 18th over with the first six being his 300th maximum in T20 cricket.
