Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star batter, Rinku Singh, finally got a bat from Virat Kohli for the second time. After KKR and Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) first meeting in the ongoing IPL 2024 season in Bengaluru on March 29, Kohli, impressed by Rinku's growth, bestowed upon him a bat as a gesture of affection.
Meanwhile, Rinku ahead of their reverse fixture on April 21, revealed that he, regrettably, broke that gifted bat. He also politely asked the former RCB batter to send him another one while also saying he could show him the broken one.
In a recent video posted by KKR on X (formerly Twitter), Rinku was captured holding yet another bat gifted by Kohli.
'Rinku bhai, bat mila?', a fan asked Rinku.
Rinku showed a bat and said 'mil gya'.

KKR thrive in outstanding campaign, while RCB struggles
Kolkata Knight Riders are having a remarkable run in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). They are currently sitting second in the points table, trailing only behind Rajasthan Royals, with ten wins from seven games thus far. When KKR and RCB locked horns twice this season, the two-time champions emerged victorious on both occasions.
RCB, on the other hand, are enduring a disappointing campaign. Led by Faf du Plessis, the team currently sits at the bottom of the ten-team points table, with a solitary win in eight games. They are currently locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

When KKR and RCB clashed for the second time this season at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, it was an electrifying encounter. Courtesy of Phil Salt's Quickfire 48 and Shreyas Iyer's half-century, KKR set a daunting target of 223 runs in the first innings after being asked to bat first. Despite a valiant effort from the RCB batters, they fell short in the final over, succumbing to a narrow one-run defeat.
