Rishabh Pant adds second date of birth on Instagram profile after new lease of life following last year's horrific car crash
Rishabh Pant is on the road to recovery after suffering a devastating car accident last year in December.
Rishabh Pant suffered a terrifying car accident on December 30, 2022 that left the world in shock. He underwent major surgery on the medial collateral ligament (MCL) and minor repair on the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). Fortunately, the star Indian wicketkeeper-batter has recovered quite well so far.
Pant is currently doing his rehab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) alongside teammates Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul. After taking his speedy recovery into consideration, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly planning to fast-track his rehab and get him fit ahead of the ODI World Cup that commences on October 5.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old has just bamboozled the cricket world by making a shocking alteration to his date of birth on social media. On his social media accounts, Pant has added the following: "Second D.O.B :- 05/01/2023". So, as per the Southpaw's second date of birth, he is just five months old. Social media has been buzzing with speculations regarding this development.
Interestingly, Pant is not the only celebrity figure to have added a second date of birth. During the first week of January, Pant had been in the hospital fighting for life after the horrific car crash before New Year's Eve. Some fans have jumped the gun, speculating this could be some sort of promotional campaign, whereas others are befuddled and eagerly waiting for the mystery to be solved.
Pant, who has represented India in 129 international matches, played his last match for India against Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in December, shortly before he met with the horrific accident. His services were immensely missed by the Indian team as they failed to win the World Test Championship final for the second consecutive time. With the 50-over World Cup being a little over three months away, fans will be keeping their fingers crossed as Pant's addition could be a huge boost for the two-time champions.
