Rishabh Pant shares picture of sister’s engagement, image goes viral

Star Indian batter Rishabh Pant recently captured all the limelight after he took to Instagram to share a picture from his sister’s engagement. Pant, who is currently recovering from the injuries of a horrific accident that happened in the latter stages of 2022, is on the road to recovery. 

Taking to Instagram, Pant posted that picture and captioned the post, “Congratulations sis.”

Pant was involved in a car accident in December 2022 and has not featured for India or in any domestic tournaments since then. The 26-year-old, however, has made huge strides since then in context to his recovery and is now well on his way to making a return to international cricket. 

It is speculated that Pant could feature for Delhi Capitals in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, and if he managed to stay fit throughout the IPL season, Pant could also feature for India in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Furthermore, former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar was of a similar opinion. Talking about Rishabh Pant’s road to recovery, Manjrekar opined that Pant will play for India soon if he is able to stay fit throughout the entire IPL 2024. Hence, all eyes of the fans and cricket experts alike will be on how Pant fares in the upcoming season of the IPL.

"Rishabh Pant surely walks into the Indian side if he is fit and is able to play the full IPL season," Manjrekar said on Star Sports.

Providing regular updates through social media, Pant has always kept the fans updated on the status of his injury and recovery, and with the star batter nearing his return, the excitement in the fans is building up. With major tournaments like the IPL and the T20 World Cup around the corner, sides like Delhi Capitals and India will surely hope that Pant can return in time and put forth some good performances for them.
