Wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was spotted at the Mumbai Airport without crutches, as he is swiftly recovering after sustaining multiple injuries from a freak road accident in December 2022.
Pant, who was all smiles while walking out of the airport, interacted with the fans and paparazzi and was seen sporting a brace on his right knee. In addition to this, the star keeper-batter was seen walking in better condition, making massive progress in the last few months and also obliged fans with selfies.
Notably, Pant is on course with attempts to speed up his recovery and get back to his best shape in order to return to competitive cricket. However, as per reports, it is unlikely that the keeper-batter will make it in time for the Asia Cup and the forthcoming ODI World Cup, which is to be played in India in October.
Rishabh Pant-less DC endure dismal campaign
Following the confirmation of Pant’s exclusion from the Delhi Capitals setup ahead of the IPL 2023, the think tank announced a new-face side under the leadership of David Warner. Though the skipper put his best foot forward and displayed quite a few scintillating performances, the team, however, failed to obtain favourable results on a consistent basis.
With five wins and as many as nine losses in the lucrative T20 league, David Warner and Co. concluded their dismal campaign with a meagre 10 points, standing ninth on the IPL Points Table. The DC management could likely undergo a few changes for the 17th edition of the league, as per reports.
In addition to this, the think tank will need to get back to the drawing board and ideate plans for the auction so as to obtain a solid team for the next season. Pant will be raring to come all guns blazing in the 2024 season for the franchise as they will be looking for an improved campaign.
