Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is currently visiting Mumbai during his India tour. Known for his passion and love for cricket, the renowned politician did not shy away from marking his attendance at the renowned Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, February 2. Notably, Team India (IND) are hosting England (ENG) in a blockbuster weekend T20I game. For the unversed, the home side is currently leading the T20I series by a 3-1 margin.
Even though the fifth and final T20I of the series happens to be a dead rubber, the iconic venue never fails to attract the cricket aficionados. Hence, Sunak was no exception and took no time to make sure to not only visit the city but also head to the stadium. Once becoming part of the cricket fest, Sunak wasted no time in meeting the two Captains in concern, Jos Buttler and Suryakumar Yadav.
Just after the toss, the former PM was spotted having a merry chit-chat with both cricketers. As a result, the moment quickly went viral on social media which is being thoroughly appreciated by the Indian cricket fans. Meanwhile speaking of the toss, England Skipper Buttler was pleased to see the coin falling in his favour and decided to have a go with the ball first. While he hoped that the dew factor may help the side in the run chase, on the contrary, India Captain Suryakumar was also happy to bat first. Notably, this is the home ground and hence Sky as he is fondly known has a fair idea about the amount of dew playing the role in the final T20I.
