During India vs Pakistan's ongoing clash in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, skipper Mohammad Rizwan shoulder-bumped young pacer Harshit Rana while completing a single in the 20th over of the host nation's innings. The incident left Rana visibly upset.

The moment took place when the Men in Green were trying to rebuild their innings after losing their top-order early. Rizwan and Saud Shakeel had begun to accelerate after a slow start, breaking a boundary drought with four hits to the fence in three overs.

Shortly after, as Rizwan played a short-length delivery and rushed for a quick single, he ended up bumping shoulders with Rana in the middle of the crease. The Indian pacer, annoyed by the contact, raised his arms in frustration, questioning the right-hand batter's actions.

Rana dropped Rizwan's catch

Earlier in the match, Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and opted to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Men in Green got off to a decent start with Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq putting up a 43-run stand. However, their partnership was broken when Babar nicked one behind off Hardik Pandya, getting caught by KL Rahul. Imam fell in the very next over via a run-out, putting Pakistan under pressure at 45/2.

As Pakistan looked for stability, Rizwan and Shakeel built a 52-run stand. However, the skipper of the Green Shirts, had his share of fortune when he was dropped by Harshit Rana in the 33rd over. Facing Pandya’s delivery, Rizwan mistimed a shot. The Delhi pacer, stationed at midwicket, moved sideways and jumped to collect with both hands but failed to grab the catch.

However, the 32-year-old's innings ended in the 34th over when he misjudged a delivery from Axar Patel. Stepping down the track in an attempt to go big, he was beaten by a full ball, which crashed into his stumps. He departed for a 46-run knock off 77 balls, laced with three boundaries.
