Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli team departs for Dubai ahead of Champions Trophy 2025
After a successful campaign against England, Rohit Sharma and his team set ready for Champions Trophy.
India's latest cricketing wins against England have shown how efforts can make an impact in the world of cricket. They are all set with their daunting form and energy ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Interestingly, the Men in Blue delivered exceptional performance throughout which led them to bag both the T20I and ODI series with their assertive and energetic approach.
The Indian team, led by captain Rohit Sharma on February 15th, departed from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai to Dubai. The departure was marked by energy and joy, with key players like Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Varun Chakravarthy and others among those spotted at the airport.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has come up with a different approach for this three-week tournament, alarming that players' families will not escort them, directing them to maintain team cohesion and focus during the competition.

India dominated with a 4-1 victory, in the T20-I series. The stormy and fiery innings entirely seized the match but also accentuated India's batting depth. Spotting on Varun Chakravarthy's brilliant game with the ball throughout the series, made him compel 14 wickets, which earned him the Player of the Series recognition.
Transitioning smoothly into the ODI format, India continued their dominance with a 3-0 series sweep. The 2nd ODI in Cuttack saw a seamless comeback of Sharma, scoring an impeccable119, whereas, in the final ODI in Ahmedabad fans saw Shubman Gill take over the innings with a superb 112, backed by half-centuries from Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer, leading to a terrific total of 356.
The bowlers stood up with the batter's efforts, churning out England for 214 and securing a 142-run victory. Gill's consistent knocks all through the series deservingly earned him the Player of the Series honour.
Undoubtedly these series wins have bolstered and boosted India's confidence level as they all deck up for the Champions Trophy. India's battle is set to commence on February 20th against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. With their recent victories and a well-sufficient squad, India is composed to make an impact in the Champions Trophy, carrying the momentum of their success into the tournament and making a mark.
