India and Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma celebrated his 36th birthday on Sunday, April 30. On his special occasion, fans in Hyderabad gave a heartwarming tribute as they unveiled a gigantic 60 feet cut-out on the ocassion. 

It is no secret that the Indian skipper has a massive following not just in India but also around the world. The swashbuckling right-hander holds numerous records and has aggregated massive number of runs since his debut in 2007. 

As he celebrated his 36th birthday, the sheer craze of the ‘Hitman’ was on full show in Hyderabad. Mumbai Indians took to their social media handle to post the pictures of the humongous 60 feet cut-out made by the fans in Hyderabad.

The 36-year-old has played 234 matches in the top-tier league and scored 6060 runs, including 41 fifties and one century thus far. His illustrious career in the league also includes winning the IPL titles a record six times, five with MI as captain (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020) and one as a player with Deccan Chargers (now defunct) in 2009.

Rohit is one of the players with most runs in the IPL, having recently joined the elite list of players with 6000 runs in the tournament history. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma will be seen in action on his birthday, as Mumbai Indians square off against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, April 30 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. The five-time winners will lock horns with the inaugural champions in a historic match, as it marks the 1000th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Rohit and Co. have only managed to win on three occasions in seven outings thus far in the 16th edition. The side will need to get back to winning ways and climb up the points table to make a spot in the play-offs.
