Jimmy Neesham has been tremendous in the field so far in the ongoing SA20 T20 league match against Durban Super Giants. Fielding in the 28th match of the season, Jimmy took three catches for Pretoria Capitals, which included two absolute blinders by the Kiwi all-rounder.
First, he sent Quinton de Kock back to the dressing room by taking a stunner of his own bowling, to break the opening partnership of 76. And then the one-handed blinder at point to dismiss Wiaan Mulder on the last ball of the 14th over at the score of 170 for 4.
Let's have a look at both the catches by Jimmy Neesham
Neesham has played in the middle order and scored 123 runs so far in the tournament for PC averaging 30.75 with a strike rate of 133.69. As a bowler, he also took 8 wickets for the Capitals in the ongoing tournament.
Despite Neesham’s outstanding fielding, the Capitals couldn’t prevent Super Giants from posting a mammoth 254/4.. Powered by the solid opening stand between de Kock and Ben McDermott, followed by a brilliant unbeatern hundred by Heinrich Klaasen, (104* off 44 balls), consisting of 10 fours and six sixes, DSG scored a mammoth 254 for 4 in their 20 overs. He was accompanied by Matthew Breetzke, who scored blistering unbeaten 46 runs off 21 with five fours and three sixes, helping the Super Giants to go past 250.
For the Capitals, Migael Pretorius turned out to be the most successful and the most expensive bowler, taking 2 wickets by conceding 62 runs in his four overs. Meanwhile Neesham and Josh Little shared a wicket each.
