Playing for Joburg Super Kings in the ongoing SA20, Faf du Plessis picked up a remarkable one-handed catch to send Dewald Brevis packing. Notably, the youngster failed to time Lizaad Williams’ delivery as the 39-year-old ran back from the 30-yard circle and jumped with an outstretched right hand to grab a stunning catch.
The commentators were delighted with Faf’s efforts as they lauded the former South Africa skipper for picking up ‘an absolute screamer of a catch’. His teammates soon joined him for celebration and Brevis departed for just five runs.

His short stay however didn’t impact much as the MI Cape Town picked up a massive win over Joburg in the fourth match of the ongoing SA20. Openers Rassie van der Dussen and Ryan Rickelton gave a perfect start to the team as their 200-run partnership took Joburg out of the contest. Dussen hit 104 runs off just 50 deliveries while stumper-batter Rickelton missed his century by a whisker as he got out on 98 runs off 49 deliveries.

However, the 29-year-old got out (48 runs off 24 deliveries) as Joburg once again suffered a huge blow.
