The swashbuckling batter handed the side a major boost with his blistering knock as they eventually registered a win by 9 runs. His flamboyant knock included as many as 11 fours and nine sixes at a strike rate of 229.09.
Moreover, the knock could not have at a better time considering that the right-hander has been called up for the national squads in the tour to New Zealand for the T20Is and ODIs and the Bangladesh ODIs as well. Gill will look to continue his form and keep up the consistency in order to cement his spot in the national team ahead of the forthcoming bilateral series in the next year.
