Notable figures from Indian cricket, including Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Ravichandran Ashwin, received invites for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Due to being part of the Indian squad gearing up for the first Test against England in Hyderabad from January 25, Kohli was unable to attend the ceremony. The star batter's commitment to the upcoming series was believed to be the reason behind his absence from the prestigious event.
MS Dhoni gives grand spectacle a miss
Former India captain MS Dhoni chose not to attend the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Temple. While he is usually present at Ganesha Chaturthi celebrations, it's noteworthy that neither Dhoni, Virat Kohli nor Ashwin participated in the Ram Temple opening ceremony, attracting attention from fans, especially those in Tamil Nadu.
