Meanwhile, the incident didn’t disturb the concentration level of Virat as he went on to complete his sixth half-century in the ODI World Cup 2023. However, soon after that, the player got out in an unfortunate fashion and India seemed to be under enormous pressure. Rahul, who took quite some time to get adjusted to the conditions too got out on 66 runs as India managed to post only 240 runs on board in the night of the finals against Australia.
When it came to the chase, the bowlers once again gave a perfect start as they picked up the three important wickets of David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, and Steven Smith quickly. Australia seemed to be in some sort of bother, but Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne stitched a 192-run partnership, which sealed the deal for the Aussies. They eventually managed to win the match by six wickets and won their sixth world title in the history of ODI cricket.
Meanwhile, players like Mohammed Siraj, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli were shattered following the loss, and multiple pictures of them breaking down after the match went viral on social media.
