Shahid Afridi's eldest daughter Aqsa Shahid Afridi gets married

Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi’s eldest daughter Aqsa Shahid Afridi tied the knot with Naseer Nasir Khan on Friday, December 30. It was an intimate Nikaah ceremony that took place in Karachi, and pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi too graced the event, alongside Shahid Afridi’s close friends and relatives.

The e-invite for the event has been going around on social media and portrayed the pair in white and yellow-themed clothing, while videos from Shahid's daughter's wedding have been going viral. The video showed Nasir Khan saying “qubool hai”, and Shahid Afridi and Shaheen Afridi standing together, behind Nasir.

The news of Shaheen's marriage to Shahid's second daughter Ansha broke just a few days ago, and the plans were set. The nikah ceremony for Shaheen and Ansha will take place in Karachi on February 3, prior to the commencement of the forthcoming Pakistan Super League season, according to a source close to the Afridi family.

Last year, Shahid addressed rumors regarding the fast bowler and his daughter's wedding as he had tweeted:

“Shaheen’s family approached my family for my daughter. Both families are in touch, matches are made in heaven, if Allah wills this match will be made too. My prayers are with Shaheen for his continued success on and off the field.”

While the Pakistani side is currently hosting New Zealand for two Test matches, which will be followed by three ODIs, Shaheen Afridi is not a part of the Test team owing to his injury. The 22-year-old injured himself during the T20 World Cup 2022 finals at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, while playing against England, and has been out of Pakistan’s scheme of things ever since. He will be back into the game after completely recovering from the injury.

Earlier this month, pacer Haris Rauf wed Muzna Masood Malik in a private ceremony in Islamabad, in the presence of his loved ones, acquaintances, and teammates. Additionally, spinner Shadab Khan too hinted about starting his life's second innings, sparking rumors of his marriage.
