When you say Rohit Sharma, you say maximums. That has been the story of the player who has hit the most number of sixes in international cricket. True to his tag of ‘Hitman’, Sharma unleashed an elegant stroke from his book of how to manufacture a shot elegance personified. During the Mumbai Indians chase against Gujarat Titans, the India opener gave the camera person a treat as he flicked Umesh Yadav’s delivery off his middle bat over deep square leg.

He was on a song against GT bowlers who were desperate for a wicket. Before finally falling prey to Sai Kishore’s well-directed LBW, he had amassed 43 runs in just 29 deliveries. His innings saw him hit seven boundaries and a six. After his opening partner Ishan Kishan departed for zero, he took charge and counter-attacked in his usual manner.

Here's the video of Rohit's magnificient shot:

The India captain has found a new way of batting when he sets foot on the pitch. He has carried his aggressive nonchalant way of batting from the World Cup 2023 and seems to elevate it till the T20 World Cup 2024. He had to step down as the captain of MI ahead of IPL 2024 and let Hardik Pandya run the show. However, he continues to be the captain of the Indian cricket team and has expressed desire to lift the T20 World Cup trophy in June

Gujarat Titans succumb to Jasprit Bumrah special

Batting first Gujarat Titans had to face the wrath of Jasprit Bumrah as he plucked wickets for fun. He shook the GT’s top order and went onto claim the wicket of dangerous David Miller. He bowled at an economy rate of 3.50 and GT could not recover from the damage. They provided MI a target of 168 which was below par in every sense at the world’s largest stadium.
