India's batting sensation Shubman Gill surprised his Gujarat Titans (GT) teammate Robin Minz's father at Ranchi Airport when team India was leaving the city after winning the fourth Test against England. Minz's father is employed at the Birsa Munda Airport as a security guard.

After being acquired by GT for a whopping INR 3.6 crore during the 2024 mini-auction auction in December last year, Robin became the first tribal cricket player to compete in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In a video that has surfaced on social media, Gill was seen having a quick conversation with Robin's father, shaking his hand, and taking a picture with him. The cricketer posted a photo on social media along with him, and fans applauded his heartwarming gesture.

“Honoured to meet Robin Minz’s father. Your journey and hardwork has been inspiring. Looking forward to see you in the IPL,” Gill wrote on his Instagram story while posting an image with Robin’s father.

Gill remained unbeaten on 52, while Jurel scored 39* as India seized a commanding 3-1 series lead and became the first side to win a Test series against England in the Bazball era under Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum. Both teams will meet again for the fifth and final Test at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, which begins on March 7.
