'Someone get that guy Yograj away from Arjun Tendulkar ASAP' - Fans urge Yograj Singh to stay away from Mumbai all-rounder after the former's Kapil-Dhoni outburst
Yograj Singh's rant on former India captains like Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni has garnered him immense criticism.
Cricket enthusiasts on social media have shown their displeasure after Yograj Singh's derogatory remarks for former Indain captains like Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni. After this incident, fans want the association between Yograj and Arjun Tendulkar to end soon for the betterment of the latter's cricketing career.
For the unversed, Sachin Tendulkar had approached Yograj through his son and legendary Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, to coach Arjun a couple of years ago. Since then, the youngster has gone on to represent Goa in domestic cricket and scored a century on his Ranji Trophy debut like his father.
Debuting in 2023, the young all-rounder has played a total of four matches in the Indian Premier League with Mumbai Indians. However, after Yograj's rant on legendary cricketers like Kapil and Dhoni garnered attention, fans want his partnership with Arjun to end as soon as possible.
During a recent interview with Zee Switch, Yograj blamed Kapil Dev and Dhoni for destroying his and Yuvraj's careers, respectively.
Since this development, fans have lashed out at the former India pacer and urged Tendulkar junior to distance himself from the 66-year-old.
“I heard a while ago that Arjun Tendulkar was training with Yograj Singh? If so, good luck to him,” said one user, while another pointed out: “Will be surprising if Arjun has anything to do with Yograj after this.”
One X user, in particular, expressed his reservations of Arjun being under Yograj's wing in any form through multiple posts. They are as follows:
“How can someone like Yograj be working with Arjun with this mentality. He just badmouthed two Indian world cup winners. Shocking.”
“Someone get that guy Yograj away from Arjun Tendulkar ASAP. He’ll ruin the kid’s life with some venomous attitude.”
“If the right sense prevails, Yograj will be asked to get away from Arjun.”
Yuvraj hasn't reacted to the entire saga at the moment, but there is no doubt he admires his former India teammate, Dhoni for his batting skills, especially in ODI cricket.
