Hardik Pandya last featured for India in the second T20I against Sri Lanka in July. The all-rounder has since been out of action and is aiming to make a red-ball comeback. He has voluntarily opted out of the Tests as he wanted to focus solely on the white-ball cricket owing to his injury-prone career. The reports are abuzz that the right-handed batter is targeting a berth in the Test team and is prepping up for the same.

While away from the ground, Hardik is leaving no stone unturned to get back into shape for the impending T20I series against Bangladesh. The T20 World Cup 2024 winner is meanwhile spending his time with his apple of eye, Agastya. The father-son duo were sharing smiles and pep talks as the former sweat it out in the practice session. Hardik took to his Instagram to share glimpses of his cherished time with his son.

Here's Hardik’s latest post on Instagram:

I'm not looking at Hardik Pandya in Tests: Parthiv Patel

Hardik has not played a Test since September 2018. The Baroda all-rounder was recently seen bowling with the red ball, which garnered immense attention, as well as talks of his Test comeback. Former India cricketer, Parthiv Patel, who was presenting the second Test between India and Bangladesh, revealed that Hardik used the red-ball as the white-ball was not available.

“I'm not looking at Hardik Pandya (in Tests). He was practising with the red ball only because the white ball wasn't available. I don't think his body allows four-day and five-day matches. He has to play at least one first-class game (before being considered for selection in Tests), which is very unlikely,” Parthiv said on JioCinema.
