Star Indian batter KL Rahul is currently grappling with a quadricep tendon injury, which has led to his exclusion from the upcoming fifth Test match's squad against England in the ongoing five-match Test series. Although he participated in the first match of the series, he has been absent from the second, third, and fourth match.
In a recent rapid-fire interview, KL Rahul was questioned about various aspects, including his alternative career choice, the best beard in the team, match-day rituals, and more. KL described himself as someone who stays calm and carries a sense of class when asked about his characteristics. He mentioned not having specific pre-game rituals, highlighting that breaking all rituals is, in fact, a ritual for him.
When asked about what describes KL Rahul the best, he responded with "staying calm and klass" in an interview on Star Sports. Regarding his pre-game rituals, he stated, "I don't really have one. I try to break all my rituals; that, in itself, is a ritual that I have."
Responding to the inquiry about his inspirations, KL expressed that his father is his cornerstone of inspiration in life, whereas on the cricketing stage, he is significantly influenced by the legendary AB de Villiers.
"In life, my father, but on the cricket field, I've been greatly inspired by AB de Villiers," KL said.
When queried about his alternative career choice, KL stated that if he had chosen an alternative career, he would have played a different sport. Regarding the best player with the beard, he expressed his opinion that his teammate and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja holds that title.
When asked about his breakfast, the cricketer mentioned having four eggs, avocados, one fruit, and a protein shake. Regarding an actor to play his role in a biopic, he expressed admiration for Ranbir Kapoor, citing his previous performance in biopics, where the Bollywood personality played the role of Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani-directed Sanju.

When asked about the one person he would like to meet, whether living or deceased, the Bengaluru native mentioned the prominent personalities of Cristiano Ronaldo and Michael Jordan. His ideal cheat meal includes Biryani and Gajar Ka Halwa (carrot pudding) with ice-cream. He referred to his wife as his 4 am friend due to her late-night habits.
Looking ahead, the cricketer from Karnataka expressed excitement about playing in front of home fans at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium, emphasizing its extravagance and a capacity of around 50,000. He encouraged Lucknow fans to come in large numbers to support the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
