Stuart Broad and fiancée Mollie King blessed with a baby girl

England pacer Stuart Broad and his fiancée Mollie King have become parents to a baby girl and shared adorable images of her on Friday, November 25 in a joint post on Instagram. 

The images show Mollie King kissing her daughter on her forehead while Board kissing her cheeks. The pair also revealed the name of the child - Annabella Broad. “Welcome to the world Annabella Broad. We have never been so in love,” the caption read of their her Instagram post.

The Saturdays Singer and Radio 1 presenter, Mollie King and Broad is dating since 2012 and got engaged on New Year’s Day in 2021. 

Broad to miss three-match Test series against Pakistan

The English pacer took some time off from cricket and will be spending time with his family. The 36-year-old will be missing England’s tour of Pakistan, which is set to begin on December 1 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Three Lions are scheduled to play a practice match against England Lions before the tour. Ben Stokes, the designated captain, of the side will not be participating and hence, Ollie Pope has been given the responsibility to lead the team. 

The all-rounder is reportedly suffering with a knee injury after playing nine T20Is in a space of just a month. Stokes is currently not bowling in the practice sessions and thus, there are some concerns in the England dressing room. However, the management has decided not to rush and give Stokes proper rest at the moment.

The warm-up match at Tolerance Oval will show see the return of Jofra Archer in the England set-up. He is expected to bowl for the Lions but with heavy restrictions. The pacer didn’t feature in England colours for more than 18 months because of multiple injuries he suffered in the past couple of years. Like Stokes, the team management is not rushing with him and will give him proper time to recover.
