Student skips school exam to watch KL Rahul play in Ranji Trophy match, picture goes viral
I have exam today, but came to watch Namma (our) KL bat, the placard read.
Karnataka, who are playing against Haryana in the round seven match of the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25, saw a very surprising happening at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The iconic venue had very limited fans in attendance for the domestic fixture, however, one of the fans that caught the attention was a teenager student.
Notably, the boy carried a placard that read he had missed his school exam only to see the batting of star cricketer KL Rahul, who is a part of the Karnataka squad. Notably, the ace batter made his return to the Ranji arena after many years, and his presence has sparked an excitement among locals to watch their idol play, just like the little kid, who went out of the way and finally saw his star bat.

Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium empties within minutes of Kohli's wicket
Meanwhile, in another round seven match between Delhi and Railways, the venue Arun Jaitley Stadium saw Virat Kohli return to the domestic circuit after more than a decade. On Day 2, the seating capacity of the venue had been breached, and all the fans in attendance were excited to watch Kohli bat, however, the batter got dismissed for only six runs in the opening session, and what followed next was nothing less than a surprise.
The fans, who had jam-packed the venue, started leaving their seats and within minutes of Kohli's wicket, the stands which were filled like an international fixture, returned to normalcy of a domestic game. Delhi won the match by an innings, and hence, Kohli never got the chance to bat in the second innings.
