The foot-tapping number is rising in the popularity charts very quickly as most fans are welcoming it with open arms.
Can SRH bring back their glory days under another Australian captain?
David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad won the coveted IPL title for the first time in 2016. Under the inspirational leadership of the diminutive Aussie batter, Sunrisers became one of the most consistent teams in the tournament for a number of years.
In IPL 2021, Hyderabad failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time in six seasons. They finished last under Warner's captaincy and the left-handed batter was controversially released from the squad ahead of the mega auction in 2022 after falling out of the good books of the management. The Sunrisers finished eighth and tenth in the last two editions of the IPL.
They roped in Pat Cummins for a whopping INR 20.50 crore at the 2024 IPL auction in Dubai. He was recently named as the captain of the side, replacing Aiden Markram. SRH have a strong bunch of players in their lineup and their passionate fans will hope that their glory days return once again under the leadership of an Australian player.
