The Rohit Sharma-led side eventually went on to win the match by seven runs.
Since the incident, the Indian cricket fans have paid several tributes to the Mumbai batter. Recently, the Ganesh Puja theme temple regarding his catch is also one of the memorable methods the fans used to remember his contribution in the final.
