One of the powerful hitters in the game, Liam Livingstone hit a gigantic six which went over the roof in the T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up fixture against Pakistan at the Gabba in Brisbane. The right-hander had missed quite a bit of international action owing to injury concerns but returned for the mega ICC event in Australia. He will have a big role to play in the middle-order for England which looks power-packed at the moment.

Coming back to the mammoth six, Livingstone shimmied down the track in the ninth over and connected a half volley at the meat of the bat against the bowling of Shadab Khan. The ball sailed over the roof and covered a long distance to leave the fans stuttering.

In fact, the commentators on air also were quite impressed with Livingstone’s huge six and praised the batter for his brutal strength. Livingstone is used to hitting big sixes and it was evident in the IPL 2022 season when he hit a 117-metre six while playing for the Punjab Kings against the bowling of Mohammed Shami.

Livingstone went on to hit another six in Mohammad Wasim’s over in the warm-up fixture which was strayed into the pads of the batter. He was dismissed in the 11th over after a 16-ball 28 which comprised four and two sixes and the quickfire knock helped England stay ahead of the required run rate in the run chase of 161.

Ben Stokes contributed with an 18-ball 36 while the likes of Harry Brook and Sam Curran finished off things with a stunning partnership for the Jos Buttler-led side. Brook remained unbeaten on 45 off 24 balls hitting four sixes while Curran played a blistering knock of 14-ball 33 as England clinched the rain-affected game in the 15th over with 6 wickets in hand.
